Goodnight moved easily. The room was familiar in a distant way, but Billy was immediate and comforting. He climbed into bed and as soon as Billy blew out the candle and did the same, Goodnight reached for him. It might be prudent to make a quiet escape come morning, but he didn't care about that now. He wrapped around Billy, held him close and nuzzled against his hair. This was what he'd been needing.
